Why this plugin is different

Most WordPress llms.txt tools stop at file creation.
GcCo AI View Sync goes further by connecting your site to AI View, where your llms.txt can be built using real GA4 traffic data.

That means:

  • pages with real traffic can be prioritized first
  • your WordPress site can automatically publish the file at /llms.txt
  • you can still use manual mode if you do not want to connect

Every other llms.txt tool guesses. This uses your actual GA4 data to decide what AI sees first. Descriptions are generated using AI for AI.

How the plugin works

1. Install the plugin
Add GcCo AI View Sync to your WordPress site.

2. Connect to GcCo AI View
Link your site and pull in your Smart llms.txt from AI View, or paste your own content manually.

3. Publish at /llms.txt

Basic llms.txt plugins

Create a file and stop there.
They do not know which pages matter most.

GcCo AI View + Plugin

Uses GA4-informed prioritization in AI View, generates AI descriptions, then syncs the result to WordPress.

Why that matters

AI systems need clearer signals.
Your highest-value pages should not be treated the same as every low-value URL on your site.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a plain-text file published at /llms.txt. It helps signal to AI and LLM tools which parts of your site matter most. It is separate from robots.txt, which is mainly about crawler access.

GcCo AI View Sync helps you publish and update llms.txt on WordPress without touching FTP or manually editing root files.

Do I need an API key?

No. A standard install does not require an API key.

For advanced or self-hosted setups, developers can optionally use wp-config.php constants such as AI_VIEW_APP_URL or custom sync URLs.

Do I need GcCo AI View to use the plugin?

No.

You can paste llms.txt content manually, and you can also use Add published URLs from WordPress when not connected to append eligible published URLs without needing an account.

Connecting to GcCo AI View adds:

  • automatic sync
  • GA4-informed prioritization
  • a smarter starting file based on real traffic data

What makes this different from other llms.txt plugins?

Many plugins only serve a file that you write yourself.

GcCo AI View Sync can:

  • pull in traffic-aware ordering from GA4 through GcCo AI View and generate AI descriptions of each
  • merge in additional WordPress URLs
  • help include newer or sitemap-only pages that might otherwise get missed
  • apply path and post-type exclusions
  • optionally write a physical llms.txt file on disk in addition to serving the pretty URL

Where does the file get published?

Your live file is served at:

https://yoursite.com/llms.txt

When the server allows it, the plugin may also write a physical llms.txt file in your site root.

Can I resync the file later?

Yes.

Once connected, you can use Sync now inside the plugin admin to pull the latest llms.txt from GcCo AI View and re-run the WordPress merge.

Right now, there is no built-in WordPress cron or scheduled sync in the plugin. Refreshing is currently manual/on demand unless you add your own automation outside the plugin.

Can I include WordPress pages that are new and not yet in GA4?

Yes.

During sync, the plugin can append eligible published WordPress URLs that are not already included in the synced file, based on your exclusion rules.

Can I build llms.txt from WordPress only, without GA4?

Yes.

When you are not connected, use Add published URLs from WordPress in the manual panel. That uses your saved manual text as the starting point, or creates a short starter if the field is empty.

It does not apply GA4 ranking. That only happens when you connect to GcCo AI View and sync.

What happens when I click “Sync”?

When connected, the plugin:

  • pulls llms.txt from your GcCo AI View account
  • generates AI friendly page descriptions using AI
  • merges in additional WordPress URLs
  • applies your exclusions
  • updates what is served at /llms.txt
  • shows the last sync time and URL counts inside the plugin

Will this replace my theme or SEO plugin?

No.

The plugin only manages the llms.txt route and related settings. It does not modify your theme, posts, or SEO plugin output.

Where is the content stored?

Your settings and synced or manual llms.txt content are stored in the WordPress options table:

ai_view_llms_txt_settings
